Selfgags
DMCA Policy
Selfgags (“we”, “us”) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects visitors and partners to do the same. This policy explains how to notify us of alleged copyright infringement on selfgags.com (the “Site”) under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”), 17 U.S.C. § 512, and comparable laws elsewhere, and how to respond if material has been removed.
Copyright contact · email only
Send copyright notices and counter-notices to admin@selfgags.com with the subject line “[Selfgags] DMCA Notice” or “[Selfgags] DMCA Counter-Notice”. We do not accept notices by post or telephone.
Our Policy
The Site displays trailers (short promotional previews) and links to third-party platforms where full-length videos are sold and hosted. Full-length videos are not hosted on the Site.
We respond expeditiously to valid notices of alleged infringement by removing or disabling access to the material concerned, whether it is a trailer stored on the Site or a link to material elsewhere, and in appropriate circumstances we terminate or restrict repeat infringers.
Designated Copyright Contact
Our designated contact for notices of claimed infringement under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(2) can be reached by email only:
Copyright / DMCA Agent, Selfgags
Email: admin@selfgags.com
This address is for copyright matters. Reports of suspected unlawful material follow the reporting procedure in our Terms.
How to Submit a Takedown Notice
To be effective under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your notice must be in writing and include all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorised to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed. A typed full name at the end of an email is acceptable.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed or, if multiple works are covered by a single notice, a representative list of those works.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, or to be the subject of infringing activity, and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, with information reasonably sufficient to allow us to locate it (the full URL of each page is best).
- Information reasonably sufficient to allow us to contact you, such as your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
Before sending a notice, please consider whether the use may be licensed or authorised, as trailers are often distributed for promotional and affiliate use. If unsure, contact us first and we will try to resolve the matter informally.

What Happens Next
- We review each notice promptly and, if valid, remove or disable access to the identified material expeditiously.
- Where we can identify the source of the material, we take reasonable steps to notify them of the removal and of their right to send a counter-notice.
- For full-length videos, which are hosted on third-party platforms, we remove the link from the Site. Because the platform controls the hosted copy, we recommend that you also send a notice to that platform.
- We may share your notice, including your name and contact details, with the source of the material or the platform concerned.
Counter-Notice Procedure
If material you provided or control was removed and you believe this was due to a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice. To be effective under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3), it must be in writing and include all of the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled, and the location (URL) at which it appeared before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled.
- Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located or, if your address is outside the territorial jurisdiction of those courts, for any judicial district in which the service provider may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notice or an agent of that person.
On receiving a valid counter-notice, we will promptly forward a copy to the original complainant and inform them that we will restore the material in 10 business days. We will restore it not less than 10 and not more than 14 business days after receipt, unless we first receive notice that the complainant has filed an action seeking a court order to restrain the alleged infringement. Your counter-notice, including your contact details, will be forwarded to the complainant. We may decline to restore material on other grounds, for example under our content standards.
Misrepresentation Warning
Know the consequences
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing, or that material or activity was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees. If you are not sure whether material infringes your rights, consult a lawyer before sending a notice or counter-notice.
Repeat Infringer Policy
The Site has no user accounts or uploads. In accordance with 17 U.S.C. § 512(i):
- We keep a record of valid notices received and of the source of each item removed.
- A source that is the subject of repeated valid notices that have not been successfully countered will be treated as a repeat infringer. In appropriate circumstances, we will stop featuring and linking to material from that source and remove existing material from it.
- We may act after fewer notices, or a single notice, where the infringement is clear, deliberate or serious.
- We may also restrict access to the Site for any person or network involved in repeated infringement, such as unauthorised copying or redistribution of Site content.
Rights Holders Worldwide
We welcome notices from rights holders anywhere in the world and also consider notices made under the copyright, notice-and-action or intermediary-liability laws of other jurisdictions. Please include the same information listed in the takedown notice section: identification of your work and of the material (with URLs), your contact details, a statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorised, and a statement that your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them. Notices may be in English or accompanied by an English translation.
