Age confirmation and browser storage

The website uses a first-party cookie named sg_age_confirmed to remember your age confirmation for 30 days. It records your confirmation, not your date of birth or identity.

You can remove it through your browser settings. This is a self-declaration, not identity-document verification.

The website may also use temporary browser session storage to restore your position when returning to a catalogue page.

Contacting us

If you email us or use our contact form, we process the information you provide, such as your email address, optional name, subject and message, to respond to your enquiry.

The built-in contact form sends messages to our mailbox rather than creating a separate message database in WordPress. Hosting and email services may retain delivery or security logs.

Please do not send passwords, payment-card details or unnecessary identity documents.

Popularity statistics

When enabled, Hot Right Now counts qualifying visits to published catalogue pages to identify popular content.

The built-in counter does not use a third-party analytics service or set an analytics cookie. It uses a short-lived code derived from request information to reduce repeated counting. The popularity table does not store the raw IP address.

Visit records expire after 48 hours and are removed through scheduled or traffic-triggered cleanup. Separate hourly page totals without visitor identifiers may be retained for up to 30 days to help select featured collections.

The built-in counter respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Hosting logs are handled separately.

Retailers and affiliate links

Links to retailers and affiliate services take you to external websites with their own privacy policies. These services may receive technical information about your visit and use cookies or other identifiers for referral attribution.

Selfgags does not collect your retailer payment-card details through this website.

Why we process information

We rely on our legitimate interests in operating and securing the website and responding to ordinary enquiries, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.

Where applicable, processing may also be necessary to meet a legal obligation or respond to a request concerning a contract. If an optional feature requires consent, that consent must be requested separately; accepting the age confirmation does not constitute advertising consent.
